Naturally rounded granite and quartzite pebbles from the Highlands of Scotland. The smallest in the range. They are often known by the name Scotch Pebbles too. They come in a wide variety of colours from creams though all the shades of browns including pinks and oranges. There are also many shades of grey. Some cobbles have attractive patterns and veins making them even more attractive when they are wet. Not all of the cobbles are spherical, some are elongated and longer in one direction than the 30mm size. The sizing depends on how the cobbles drop through the screening mesh. To get the best out of their appearance they should be used in ponds, streams and water features. A depth of 50-60mm or maybe more would be needed for good coverage. Also available... Minimum Depth for 20-30mm Pebbles
The recommended laying depth for 20-30mm pebbles is between 50mm and 60mm. The description tab gives an estimate, but ultimately it depends on the look you wish to achieve. Pebbles tend to be used more in water features and ponds (if fish friendly), and also border areas. They aren't a product you would walk on loose.
