How to use gravel grid to stop gravel migration

Prepare the Ground

Mark the area, excavate to required depth, then install and compact a solid sub-base (MOT Type 1 or similar).

Level & protect

Apply a thin leveling layer of sharp sand and lay weed membrane.

Install grids

Place and connect the grid panels evenly across the prepared surface.

Fill with gravel

Fill cells with angular gravel and level slightly above the grid.

A hard angular gravel that is a lovely rustic red colour when it's wet and a dusty pink when it's dry. Is often known by different names like Ruby Red Gravel, Cloburn Red Gravel, Harden Red Gravel and Red Spar Gravel. It's quite a flat coloured aggregate and ideal if you don't want too much colour variation. The 20mm version is better suited to driveways borders and general landscaped areas. Smaller 14mm and 6mm sizes are also available. The size range is approximately 15-25mm. The recommended depth for laying is 40-50mm. Also available...
