How to use gravel grid to stop gravel migration

Prepare the Ground

Mark the area, excavate to required depth, then install and compact a solid sub-base (MOT Type 1 or similar).

Level & protect

Apply a thin leveling layer of sharp sand and lay weed membrane.

Install grids

Place and connect the grid panels evenly across the prepared surface.

Fill with gravel

Fill cells with angular gravel and level slightly above the grid.

This granite aggregate is dusty pink looking when it's dry. This very hard angular gravel is a stunning rustic red colour when wet. This aggregate is sometimes known by other names like Red Spar Gravel, Cloburn Red Gravel, Red Spar Gravel, Ruby Red Gravel and Harden Red Gravel. It's quite uniform in colour whether wet or dry and ideal if you don't want too much colour variation. The 14mm version is better suited to paths, borders and general landscaped areas. A larger 20mm and smaller 6mm size are also available. The size range is approximately 8-16mm. The recommended depth for laying is 30-40mm. Also available... Depth for 14mm Graded Aggregates and Gravel

The recommended laying depth for this size is estimated to be between 30mm and 40mm. This also applies to 16mm aggregates.
