How to use gravel grid to stop gravel migration

Prepare the Ground

Mark the area, excavate to required depth, then install and compact a solid sub-base (MOT Type 1 or similar).

Level & protect

Apply a thin leveling layer of sharp sand and lay weed membrane.

Install grids

Place and connect the grid panels evenly across the prepared surface.

Fill with gravel

Fill cells with angular gravel and level slightly above the grid.

A hard granite gravel with a colour that's a dusty shade of salmon pink with flecks of grey and black. Can also be called by alternative names, such as Salmon Pink Gravel. When this aggregate is wet the colours contrast very well and are enhanced, becoming much brighter. In sunlight this stone has attractive speckles giving it a sparkly look. With granite being such a hard-wearing material it's ideal for driveways and paths, but also looks really eye catching in ponds, water features and borders. The size range is approximately 8-16mm. The recommended depth for laying is 30-40mm.

Depth for 14mm Graded Aggregates and Gravel

The recommended laying depth for this size is estimated to be between 30mm and 40mm. This also applies to 16mm aggregates.
