How to use gravel grid to stop gravel migration

Prepare the Ground

Mark the area, excavate to required depth, then install and compact a solid sub-base (MOT Type 1 or similar).

Level & protect

Apply a thin leveling layer of sharp sand and lay weed membrane.

Install grids

Place and connect the grid panels evenly across the prepared surface.

Fill with gravel

Fill cells with angular gravel and level slightly above the grid.

A uniform light grey angular limestone when it's dry. When wet this gravel displays many shades of grey from light to dark. Alternative names for this gravel like Dove Grey Gravel and Dove Grey Limestone Gravel are sometimes used. This smaller grade can be used for decorative purposes or in drainage situations. It can provide a nice contrast in colourful planted areas of your garden. The size range is approximately 6-14mm. The recommended depth for laying is 30-40mm. Also available...
