* Approximate weights: Bulk Bags 800kg • Poly Bags 20kg • 25 Poly Bags 500kg • 50 Poly Bags 1000kg. The bag sizes are uniform, but the size, shape and density of the aggregate can affect the perceived volume.

From the Highlands of Scotland these pebbles contain a multitude of colours. The mix of greys, browns, greens, pinks and whites is really striking when the pebbles are wet. Their smooth rounded look is caused by years of water erosion. They are ideal for water features, ponds and borders, but not recommended for paths and driveways because they are difficult to walk on. A depth of 80mm or maybe more would be needed for good coverage. Also available... Scottish Pebbles 20-30mm

Minimum Depth for Cobbles & Larger Pebbles

The recommended laying depth for any larger sized pebbles or cobbles is subjective and dependent on use. Ultimately it depends on the look you wish to achieve. Large pebbles and cobbles tend to be used more in water features and ponds (if fish friendly), and also border areas. They aren't a product you would walk on loose. They can however be set in concrete.

More information and examples of other sizes and types of aggregates are available in our Aggregate Depth Laying Guide.
