How to use gravel grid to stop gravel migration

Prepare the Ground

Mark the area, excavate to required depth, then install and compact a solid sub-base (MOT Type 1 or similar).

Level & protect

Apply a thin leveling layer of sharp sand and lay weed membrane.

Install grids

Place and connect the grid panels evenly across the prepared surface.

Fill with gravel

Fill cells with angular gravel and level slightly above the grid.

A blend that gives the full greyscale range from white to grey to black. Alternative names for this gravel like Polar Black Ice Gravel, Alpine Black Gravel and Panda Gravel are sometimes used. The mixture is made from Alpine Blue Gravel and Black Basalt Gravel. It looks great in water features because when this gravel is wet it really brings out the colour and contrast. However its NOT suitable for ponds with fish in. It gives driveways a stunning classy look with its black and white monochromatic tones. The size range is approximately 15-25mm.
